Playing with Mudbox masks

I decided to play around with the STENCIL & STAMP options in Mudbox to see what could be done, I took the standard head mesh that is available within the programme and continued to experiment. What struck me was how easy it was to apply skin texture and detail by using the options available to me.
The STENCIL option allows you to use an Alpha mask (you can import your own which are made in Photoshop) over the image and the sculpting tool that you are using will only make adjustments that can pass through the masks lighter areas helping to create some interesting effects.
The STAMP option allows you to use the same Alpha masks but in a different way, the stamp tool follows the topology of the model and with each press that specific stamp will be applied to that surface area, the only problem with doing it this way is the way the result can look less organic.
