A lot less problems

I am not going to go through the whole process here again as I think I did quite a bit of that earlier with the first model, although it was still initially tricky it has taken me considerably less time to apply the Normal and Displacement maps, in fact it has taken way less time but that is the benefit of doing the earlier research.

Here are a collection of images from the rendering;

There are a couple of things I am not happy with, first is the displacement. This is due to the extraction from Mud not giving me enough detail so I just need to go back and do another and the second thing is the feet. These don't quite look right, I don't really want to spend much more time on this model as I have other areas to look at in my research and a dissertation to start writing but if I have a spare hour I may just go back.

Bellow for those who are interested are two more shots, one rendered with the maps on and the other in just the base mesh in Maya;

It's clearly obvious what the normal and displacement maps do, I would like to point out that the mesh is NOT smoothed first this is how the render turns out after a wee bit of tweaking.
