Closer detail....

Here are some closer renders of the normal maps applied to the low poly meshes, the pack has only 1,982 polys and the body 5,653. Due to retopologising the mesh after I had expanded the forms the normal maps seem to take very smoothly with next to no loss in the detail compared to the high poly Mudbox sculptures from which the maps were taken.


Anyway, treading towards my next step I will have all the normals baked before tomorrow so that I can commence with the rigging and weight painting. Not my favorite subject and due to the fact the design is not standard (i.e. a traditional biped human) I will have to construct a special rig that takes into account of the cane and the missing leg!!
